What this is

Okay so I've basically been working on this for 1 and a half years and its FINALLY READY! Sorry for making everyone wait so long.

This is basically the successor to EqualizerEverywhere.

This is two different concepts combined into one tweak:

Equalizer

Parametric, so you can control Q-factor, frequency and gain of each band
You can have up to 200 bands simultaneously without it lagging
Real-time. The instant you move your finger, you hear the audio change
9 built-in filter types
Sexy UI
Left/right ear equalization
Activator integration (more info here)
Control over SSH or MobileTerminal via the eqe command
Lua scripting (more info here)

Available filter types:

All-pass
Band-pass
Band-pass with Q peak gain
Peaking EQ (this is the only one that was in EqualizerEverwhere 1.0)
High-pass
Low-pass
High-shelf
Low-shelf
Notch

Playback history tracker

Keeps track of music you listen to (based on info in the control center)
Optional: sync it online with EQE.fm

Online stuff

Forums
Global feed of what everyone is listening to

Future plans

The tweak:

Polish everything, fix bugs
Scriptable queue-based music player (off local filesystem) with FLAC, OGG, etc. support
Maybe a torrent client??

The website

Make it more like LastFM etc
Follow people / view timeline (kinda like Twitter but instead of tweets its songs you played)
Search for people who listen to certain artists

Please allow to delete history of songs I've listened to.

Could you please (if possible) create a flip switch for the older EqualizerEverywhere?
Is the older tweak less system-intensive? ~450kb disk space versus the 4MB ~ doesn't keep track of previously listened songs etc
How come the older and newer version are allowed to run side-by-side? ==> Is there a difference the way the tweaks work?

What do you mean?
It's hard to say, EqualizerEverywhere was poorly programmed but did less stuff, EQE is programmed much better but does more stuff. I'd say it's a wash
EqualizerEverywhere and EQE hook the same output. Just because one tweak hooks the output doesn't mean other tweaks can't.

This looks excellent but I can't get it to run! :P

EQE closes as soon as I tap on it. Installed through Cydia (with Substrate) on an iPhone 6s 10.3.1 with the g0blin JB. I've tried reinstalling and respringing. Am I doing something dumb?

It's a bug in g0blin itself, you will have to wait for sticktron to fix it. Here's a workaround though: https://eqe.fm/thread/16

Can you make it optional whether EQE registers what I've been listening to?
Can you include a delete all function as well? I've listened to many songs with EQE installed
I didn't know that the previous version was bad programming compared to this newer edition, thanks for your hard work

Go into Playback history > App whitelist, turn off both Enable switches at the top
Uninstall EQE, delete /var/tweak/com.r333d.eqe/db/history.db, and then reinstall EQE.

I discovered that any Activator trigger with synthesized speech action nullifies / lessens the EQE tweak while playing media. It was this way since the very beginning.

Example: Watching Netflix / listening to music, at 50% battery Activator uses synthesized speech to inform me; volume goes down drastically and the only way to fix this is by closing the playing app and reopen it.

Thanks for the updates you've released so far. Hopefully you can fix this too 😁

excuse me for a moment, does this tweak run on 32bit ...? i have an iPhone5 10.3.4 and it's been jailbreaked. previously installed equalizereverywhere and i want to replace it with a new one. thanks
